We can provide care for a vast array of pets in your own home from cats, dogs & puppy care, to hamsters, rabbits, tortoise, bearded dragons, hens, ducks, and donkeys and horses.
Whether you’re out working, disabled or going away on holiday, or are here on holiday, we at Pet Assist Animal Care are here to help. Be it one-off jobs or regular jobs, home visits which you require, caravan visits or boarding at our premises for your small furry or feathered friends. We offer your pets a lot of love at all times.
We offer a Pop-in service in your home for all your small animals to feed, groom and clean them out.
This can be any time of day or evening or overnight if required, giving your home added security of someone being there.
We do not offer ‘live in’ as such, but we can stay over the odd night. You can mix and match petsitting, pop-in visits, and we can do late visits.
Alternatively, we can board your pet, in its own cage at Pet Assist Animal Care premises which is safe and secure
We are fully insured through a comprehensive insurance company (copies of our policy can be seen as requested). Also we are Police checked.
We only advertise through some site platforms such as Facebook page and through our website. We rarely need to advertise in newspapers as we usually work on recommendations from our valued customers.

We offer a free, no-obligation quote and assessment before any care commences to ensure we meet the needs of your pet. This is when we collect keys, fill in paperwork and collect payments
Also, discounts may be available depending on the number of pets and the duration booked.

The Cat Care visits service is the pur-fect alternative to being in catteries. All my life I have kept and looked after cats. I love and adore them and have 7 cats of my own at home whose names are Lenny, LooLoo, Biscuit, Molly, Neisha, Chunky and Angus.
We can provide your cats and kittens with home visits, in the comfort of their own home. We offer a Pop-in service of 15 minutes each visit, they are priced as 1 Pop-in a day, 2 Pop-ins a day or 3 Pop-ins a day (see price lists). Alternatively, you can book Cat Sitting at an hourly rate, for as much time as you like, to feed, play, groom and clean your kitty’s litter tray.
Most cats are territorial and much prefer to stay in their own home, rather than uprooting to a kennel. They like their own bed, or your bed, in their own surroundings with human contact or with other pets in their household. As long as they are fed and kept clean and have some human contact, they can be left comfortably while you go to work or are away on holiday with visits from us. Our visits will ensure all your cats needs are fully catered for. This home visit is especially good for nervous, or elderly cats that may need less stress and need the extra reassurance, and companionship being in their own environment. We can also offer some overnight care, on occasions. Unfortunately, we do not have boarding facilities to board cats.
Kitten Care
We provide Kitten Care for all your kittens needs, e.g.. feeding, cleaning out, play and toilet training (see above).
We can monitor the kittens ensuring they are being cared for, by their mum or we can give.
a helping hand to rear them.
At Pet Assist Animal Care, we offer bird home visits. We can care for your birds in your own home or boarding at Pet Assist premises.
So, if you are going on holiday or working late, we are here to help. We can provide a Pop-in service into your home to feed and clean out your birds and keep them company. You can book 1 Pop-in per day, 2 Pop-ins per day pr 3 Pop-ins per day. Please see prices page for details.
This service is available as many times as you require. Alternatively, you can book and pay for hourly visits.
If you would prefer, why not bring your bird to stay at our premises where they will have the company of us, other boarders, and our other pets.
We are happy to support North Yorkshire Parrot Rescue (Part of Rainbow Bird and Animal Rescue a registered charity 1165772). They are in need short- or long-term foster homes, donations.

We can provide horse and donkey care including other pet animals – feeding, filling hay nets, grooming, platting manes, and tails, cleaning out or turning them out in the field or bringing them in or checking them.
I have kept horses and donkeys throughout my life and took part in eventing and pony club activities. I also trained as a groom caring for racehorses in Malton.
We provide a Home Visit service to cater for all your dog’s needs. We do not board dogs unfortunately. Pop-in home visits – This can be several Pop-in visits, which are up to 15 minutes in duration and can be to let your dog out into the garden, feed your dog, or to stroke or play with your dog or puppy. Pease see our price lists for Pop-in 1 visit per day, Pop-in 2 visits per day, or Pop-in 3 visits a day.
Pet sitting at your home– Our Dog Sitting Service is a happy alternative to kennels. We can sit for as many dogs as you like if they are manageable. You can book as many hours as you need, and this service is priced on an hourly basis. We can sit any time of day, or evening. While there, we can feed, play with or toilet your dog.
Night sleeper at your home – We also offer overnight care, which is reasonably priced, and works well if booked in conjunction with visits during the day.
24-hour break packages at your home – Sometimes people book a combination of Pop-ins, Pet sitting and Night sleeps if they want to go away for 24 or 48 hours. This can work for one – three days but isn’t appropriate for dogs who need people around them more, whereas cats would be okay as they are more independent.
A happy alternative to kennels with home visits
Having these visits can ensure your pet care stays within his/her routine, while you are at work or away. By being at home in familiar surroundings the dog is more likely to be settled, happy and readily accept visits from us.
We can provide that essential companionship, care and fun your dogs need. This may also include giving any medication that is prescribed by a vet or cleaning their exercise area. Dogs prefer to relax in their own homes rather than in boarding kennels. When away from their own environment they can become stressed and withdrawn. Especially dogs that have previously been ill-treated, rescued and then re-homed. Also, by staying in their own home they are at less risk of picking up kennel cough, fleas etc.
If you have multiple animals, the services we offer can work out cheaper than kennels. Having a pet sitter in your own home also gives you added security, while you are away.
